Gardening Tip
Although knock out roses are one of the cold hardiest roses, some winter protection is needed. Make sure to mulch the base of the plant 8 to 12 inches high. Prune for shaping of the plant in late winter or early spring. In spring, make sure to leave mulch around base until the last frost. If frost does occur late in the spring, make sure plant is covered.
